The matchweek lifecycle

Every weekend, PitchMkt opens a new matchweek with ten matches selected from top European leagues. The lifecycle follows five stages:

1. Open. The matchweek goes live. Matches, fixtures, and the current prize pool are visible on-chain. Players have until fifteen minutes before the first kick-off to submit their predictions.

2. Pick. Players submit their picks — home win, draw, or away win — for all ten matches. Each entry requires a USDC stake of their choice — the more staked, the larger the proportional share within a winning tier. Multiple entries are allowed; each one is independent.

3. Resolve. Once all matches finish, results are published on-chain by the admin group. A 48-hour dispute window opens. Anyone can challenge a result during this period.

4. Distribute. After the dispute window closes, prizes are allocated automatically per tier.

5. Claim. Players actively claim their prizes. Unclaimed prizes after 30 days are redirected to the jackpot.

Prize tiers

Prizes are distributed by accuracy tier. Each tier receives a fixed percentage of the total pool.

9 / 1025%
8 / 1015%
7 / 1010%
6 / 107%

Within each tier, the share is distributed proportionally to the USDC staked by each qualifying entry — not split equally.

Empty tiers

If a tier has no winners, its percentage does not disappear and is not redistributed to other tiers — it goes directly to the jackpot. Every other tier still pays out exactly its fixed share, no more and no less. A matchweek where several upper tiers go unawarded grows the jackpot fast.

Claiming prizes

Prizes are not pushed to wallets automatically. Players must initiate a claim transaction. This keeps gas costs predictable and avoids sending funds to inactive addresses.

Claims are open for 30 days after results are finalised. After that window, unclaimed USDC is redirected to the jackpot pool.
