Carry Pool

What the carry pool is

The carry pool is a separate prize pool that accumulates over time and can only be won outright: by a single column with all ten outcomes correct.

It does not reset between matchweeks. If no one hits 10/10 in a given matchweek, the carry pool carries over in full and continues to grow.

How it is funded

The carry pool is funded exclusively by two sources:

Unclaimed prizes. Players have 30 days to claim their prizes after results are finalised. Any USDC not claimed within that window is transferred to the carry pool.

Empty tiers. When a prize tier has no winning columns (for example, no column landed on exactly 7/10 in a given matchweek), its allocation goes directly to the carry pool — there is no lateral redistribution to other tiers. Every other tier still receives exactly its fixed share.

The carry pool is not funded by protocol fees. Fees go to operational costs. This separation keeps the carry pool honest — it grows only from value that would otherwise go unclaimed or unallocated, not from a cut of every pool.

Winning the carry pool

The carry pool is released the moment a column gets all ten outcomes right, and is added on top of the top tier prize. It is therefore shared among all columns that reach 10/10 in the same matchweek, in the same proportion as the tier itself — the carry pool is not winner-takes-all.

Because a prediction can span several columns, one prediction may hold more than one of the columns sharing it. What is counted is columns, not predictions.

If no column reaches 10/10, the carry pool stays intact and continues accumulating.

Visibility

The current carry pool balance is visible on-chain at all times. The history of carry pool contributions — from unclaimed prizes and empty-tier allocations — is fully auditable through the protocol’s event logs.
